Generator inspection

The comprehensive portfolio of generator types serviced by the RMCE team allows us to claim that we can carry out this work on all types of air- and hydrogen-cooled generators. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Mechanical disassembly and assembly
  • Removal and installation of the rotor
  • Bearing inspection, NDT (non-destructive testing)
  • Rotor and/or stator alignment
  • Inspection and cleaning of coolers (water- and hydrogen-cooled generators)
  • Inspection of exciter units

Insulation analysis

Insulation analysis service is performed using Sonel MIC-15k1 insulation quality analyzer, the main functions of which are diagnostics of insulation systems based on standard IR, DAR, PI, SV, RT, DD measurements and testing of electrical strength of the tested object - indication of breakdown voltage.

Measurement of winding resistance and low resistances

The MMR-650 winding resistance and low resistance meter is designed to measure the very low resistance of windings of both types - including amorphous-core transformers - and resistive objects.
